Town Transfer Station

	All residents must purchase a sticker and display it while using the Town Transfer Station. These stickers need to be renewed on a yearly basis and can be purchased at the Town Hall on Main Street with either the Collector's Office or with the Selectmen's Office. The price for the sticker is a nominal $10.00.  

Recycling

Location: at the Highway Department, 1 West Stockbridge Road

Hours: 	Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm
		Saturday 9:00am - 3:30pm
		Closed on Holidays

Paper:

	What to recycle:

		* Paper back & phone books (remove covers)
		* Junk mail (no plastic windows)
		* Boxboard (ceral, shoe, cracker boxes, etc.)
		* Newspapers / inserts
		* Magazines / catalogs
		* Brown paper bags
		* White and colored paper
		* Computer paper
		* Corrugated cardboard

	How to prepare:

		* Flatten cardboard, remove tape
		* Paper must be dry
		* Remove plastic liners, windows and wrappings

	Do not include:

		* No soiled paper
		* No pizza boxes or egg cartons
		* No waxed paper, plastic windows, wrappings  of liners
		* No string tied around paper
		* No waxed corrugated cardboard
		* No 6, 12, of 24 pack beverage cartons

Glass:

	What to recycle:

		* Glass bottles / jars, all colors and sizes

	How to prepare:

		* Rinse clean
		* All labels may stay
		* Lids, collars, neck rings, corks, etc. may stay

	Do not include:

		* No window glass, dishes, glasses, Pyrex, ceramics, lightbulbs
		* No broken glass

Metal:

	What to recycle:

		* Aluminum cans
		* Tin / steel cans and lids
		* Aluminum foil

	How to prepare:

		* Rinse clean
		* Labels may be left on
		* May flatten

	Do not include:

		* No other metal items
		* No paint or aerosol cans

Plastic:

	What to recycle:
	
		* All plastic bottles
		* All plastic jars / cans
		* All plastic microwave trays/ containers

	How to prepare:

		* Rinse clean
		* Remove caps, lids, pumps, and wraps
		* Labels may be left on
		* Detergent spouts O.K.
		* May flatten

	Do not include:

		* No containers > 2 gal.
		* No plastic bags
		* No motor oil / chemical containers
		* No foam containers
		* No flower pots
		* No caps, lids, pumps, or wraps

Polycoated

	What to recycle:
		
		* Milk and juice cartons (tent tops)
		* Drink boxes

	How to prepare:
	
		* Rinse clean
		* Remove straws & caps
		* Flatten
		* Commingle with glass jars and metal cans

	Do not include:

		* No straws or caps
