Joe Kellogg reviewed the Stockbridge Town Office project at the Plain School. First was the financing, the debt exclusion would need a two thirds vote at Town Meeting, as we will be borrowing and would also need a ballot vote. The project has been pushed forward about a month, therefore bringing the timing to near the Annual Town Meeting. Bid quotes won’t be opened until approximately the first or second week in May. Joe will bring the finance committee up to speed on the project on Feb. 22. It was noted that with all the hurricanes, the price of diesel, oil, steel, etc. have all raised in cost, therefore pushing the numbers upward. Decisions will have to be made when the final bid cost comes in as to some of the construction work. With no other business, the meeting adjourned. Joe Ruggio came in to advocate a 10% raise for his position and his associates. Joe felt that the salary survey that was done favored the Selectmen’s people and the salary survey was not done properly. The jobs were not reviewed like other jobs in our town. His office, alone, has saved the town by now doing in-house billing. Council on Aging’s budget was reviewed. Beth would like to have a Senior Summer picnic and is requesting $1,000.00. It was decided to leave that amount within the budget. If it is not spent on a picnic then the money will be reduced next year. Other budgets reviewed were Selectmen’s, Town Hall, Town Moderator, Town Report. It was decided that the cost of the electricity should be looked into for all departments. With no other business, the meeting adjourned at 5:30 A True Copy, Attest
