There were five bids for the roof project. The low bid was from Crocker Architect at $268,117. Cris made a motion to award the bid to Crocker Architect. George seconded the motion. The vote to award the roofing bid to Crocker Architect was unanimous. Cris made a motion to go into Executive Session at 3:30 to discuss personnel issues. George seconded the motion. The vote to go into Executive Session was unanimous. The Selectmen need to hold a "dog hearing" regarding Jennifer Quetti's dog. Cris stated that he would recluse himself from the hearing. Deb and George felt that prior to setting a date they would need to speak to Town Counsel and the Chief of Police. With no other business, George made a motion to adjourn at 4:30 p.m. Cris seconded the motion. The vote to adjourn was unanimous. A true copy, ATTEST: December 11, 2006 Present: Deb McMenamy, Cris Irsfeld, George Shippey, Jim Balfanz, Derek Gentile-Berkshire Eagle, Karin Passmore-CTSB and Jorja Marsden Jim Balfanz, chairman of the Transfer Station Recycling Committee, came before the Selectmen with an update on the Talbot Center. The Talbot Center has been cleaned out, and additional shelving has been installed. The center has a fresh coat of paint thanks to Rudi Hoeltzel who purchased paint, and Jim. Rudi and Jim with the help of some other committee members cleaned out the Center. The Stockbridge Sportsmen's Club donated tables. Thanks to Ruth Maurillo, the Volunteer Coordinator, the volunteer list has been revised and volunteers are in place for particular time slots to oversee the Talbot Center as soon as it is ready to open. The Committee hopes to have the Center open Monday, Thursday and Saturday. The Committee is hoping for a soft opening by December 14. Some volunteers will be there for the next few days so as to accumulate items for the Swap Shop. George made a motion to accept the listing of volunteers and approve an opening date of December 14. Cris enthusiastically seconded the motion since the Volunteer list had been revised. The motion was voted unanimously. Deb reminded people to apply for the Elderly and Disabled tax abatement program as over $10,000 has been collected to date. Three bids were received for the Phase II Comprehensive Site Assessment at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. The following is a list of bidders: 1. Tighe and Bond $10,700 2. Maxymillian $11,500 3. Weston and Sampson $20,700 Cris made a motion to accept the bid from Tighe and Bone for $10,700. George seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous. Cris wished everyone a happy holiday. Deb reminded everyone that there is no overnight parking in Stockbridge until after April 15. The gift is a portion of funding from the Stokes family for the renovation of Town Hall-Proctor Hall building. Cris seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous. Cris made a motion to accept common stock of Proctor and Gamble for the balance of the $500,000 pledge from Mary Stokes Waller and Carol Fremont-Smith. George seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous. The Selectmen went over their budgets for FY08. It was decided to take out the yews in front of the building so to eliminate the moisture problem that is building up within sills. The building will need to have a water pressure pump as the water pressure is not enough for the sprinkler system. A true copy, ATTEST:
