FINANCE COMMITTEE - TOWN OF STOCKBRIDGE

MEETING - Monday, January 22, 2007, at 7:00 PM

MINUTES

ATTENDING - Berger, Boyce, McMenamy, Morse, Murray, Raftery, Rhind, Rousseau, Schneyer

1.	Minutes of previous meeting  - November 27, 2006 - approved

2.	Stockbridge Library discussion - David McCarthy & Rosie Schneyer - discussed longer term plans and issues

3.	Departmental Draft Budgets Review 

 Town Clerk - will ask Selectmen for further recommendation concerning hours and salary request. Suggest no hourly salary adjustment (ex. COLA) prior to certification

Assessors - approved

Collector - approved

Fire Dept. - approved

Recommend to Selectmen that all 3 "Historic" commissions, committees be combined into one function with one budget

Recommend to Selectmen that Departments with level-funded budgets, no questions and no Articles be excused from presenting to the combined meetings:

5.	New Business - Approved (7-0) a request to transfer $3,800 from Reserve Fund to Police Training for Officer Teutsche's Academy training. (NOTE: Please advise effect on Police payroll of substituting a new trainee officer for departed officer.)
 
6.	Next Meeting Date - Monday, February 5, 2007 at 7:00PM at Town Hall (also, regular Thursday budget review meetings)
