CONSERVATION COMMISSION MINUTES OF MEETING TUESDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2006 PRESENT: Sally Underwood-Miller, George Shippey, Don Deno, Cathy Plakun John Hart, Joseph DeGiorgis ABSENT: Stephen Shatz Call Meeting to Order/Adopt Minutes - The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. Member DeGiorgis made a motion to adopt the Minutes as corrected, seconded by member Deno and all voted in favor. Michael Kulig appeared to request a continuance for the hearings of Interlaken Land Trust and Dori Laub for the meeting on October 24, 2006. Richard Rubin, 6 Lakeview Drive - RDA - Marc Volk of Foresight Land Services appeared with Thomas Lipisky who is the contractor for the applicant. Mr. Rubin proposes to put on a small addition to his house. The wetlands have been flagged and M. Volk stated that the work is well outside of the wetlands. There is a shed on the property that will be removed as well as a few existing trees. They will put in plastic fencing as erosion control fabric. They showed the Commission photos of the site. The proposed 18 ft. by 30 ft. addition will be two feet from the existing shed which will be slab on grade. The existing house is on piers. They property has its own well. The house is 12 ft. from the property line and 80 ft. from the BVW. Member Shippey made a motion to close the hearing, seconded by member DeGiorgis and all voted in favor. The Commission discussed the Stockbridge Industrial Park's new septic field. The owner of the property, Michael Zabian, stopped paying his contractor who in turn did not finish installing the septic field. The Chairman will e-mail Peter Kolodziej of Tri-Town Health Dept. and inform him that the project has been stalled. The Chairman informed the Commission that there they have been digging a well near a resource area at the property of Joan's Beach Nominee Trust at 31 Mahkeenac Terrace. An Enforcement Order will be issued tomorrow to halt all work. Member Hart e-mailed each member that there has been cutting on the DeSisto property on Interlaken Rd. and questioned whether they had a Forest Cutting Plan.
