CONSERVATION COMMISSION MINUTES OF MEETING TUESDAY, MARCH 14, 2006 PRESENT: Sally Underwood-Miller, George Shippey, Joseph DeGiorgis John Hart ABSENT: Don Deno, Cathy Plakun, Stephen Shatz Call Meeting to Order/Adopt Minutes - The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. The Minutes of the meeting of February 28, 2006 were approved on the motion by member Hart and seconded by member Shippey with the following corrections: Pg 1…5 ½ ft. drawdown-"The pipeline goes across the outlet." Same paragraph- "them rather than then". Under Berkshire Theatre Festival "into record a letter', also "Mr. Durgin go back to". Following paragraph-"overflows when it rains flooding her property and the basement of an abutter". Page 2, last sentence- "gave the Commission a summary of a phone call". Unanimous. Berkshire Botanical Gardens - John Parker presented regarding a water hookup for an informal discussion. The BBG is required by DEP to hook up to a water supply by November 1, 2006. BBG would use their existing water supply For irrigation and connect to the Town water supply for drinking needs. The Commission advised Mr. Parker that if the water line is at least 50 ft. from the wetland, BBG can file an RDA which will be conditioned. Town of Stockbridge, Water Dept., Averic Rd - Continued. Mark Baldridge re. Culvert Across Christian Hill Rd. - Mr. Baldridge did not appear. Craig Moffatt re. Tree Planint on South St. - Continued. Boyce Property, Trask Lane & Culvert on Hill Rd. - After a site visit, the Commission determined that a culvert installed by the Town has resulted in a heavy flow overflowing the stream flooding abutters' properties and a nearby basement. The Commission is requesting that the abutters and the Highway Superintendent attend a Conservation meeting to discuss this problem.
