Details Link Name: Minutes Description: Subject/Title: January 24, 2006 Subtitle: Keywords: Review on: [ ] Default to Printable Version CONSERVATION COMMISSION MINUTES OF MEETING TUESDAY, JANUARY 24, 2006 PRESENT: Stephen Shatz, George Shippey, John Hart, Joseph DeGiorgis Cathy Plakun ABSENT: Sally Underwood-Miller, Don Deno Call Meeting to Order/Adopt Minutes - The Vice-Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. Member Shippey made a motion to adopt the Minutes as presented, seconded by member Shatz and all voted in favor. Prentice & Ann Pilot, 36 Lake Drive - NOI - Shannon Boomsma of White Engineering, Inc. appeared representing the applicants who propose to replace an existing dock with a dock the same size. It will have an 8 X 8 platform and extend 36 ft. into the Stockbridge Bowl. The dock preceded the Town Bylaws governing the 25 ft. length of a dock. The applicants would like to get a pontoon boat which is the reason for keeping the length of 36 ft. The applicants need to supply proof of when the dock was put in. The deck will be of trex decking. The dock will be taken out of the water in the winter. The meeting was continued until a file number is given by the DEP. Stockbridge Land Trust, South St. - RDA Continuance -The Vice-Chairman stated that he did a site visit with the Chairman, consultant Terry Eucker and Craig Moffat for the Stockbridge Land Trust property on South St. The Vice-Chairman stated that there is lot of fill that was put in to the site as well as a lot of debris and restoration of the wetland. The Land Trust has hired Foresight Land Services who will be preparing a plan for the project. Member Shatz made a motion to continue the hearing, seconded by member Shippey and all voted in favor. David Hellman appeared to discuss the Osprey Lane Declaration of Trust for Alan Hirshberg. He asked whether the Commission had acted on it and the Secretary will check the status. Mr. Goodman submitted an amended plan to the RDA for I. Michael Goodman of Ice Glen Rd. Mr. Goodman wants to make a slight change to the screen porch by moving it from the West side of the building to the North side which takes it further from the wetland. The 14 ft. X 16 ft. deck will remain on the North side without change. Member Shippey made a motion to amend the RDA based on the floor plan dated January 26, 2006, seconded by member Hart and all voted in favor.
