CONSERVATION COMMISSION MINUTES OF MEETING TUESDAY, APRIL 11, 2006 PRESENT: Sally Underwood-Miller, George Shippey, Stephen Shatz, Cathy Plakun Joseph DeGiorgis ABSENT: Don Deno, John Hart Call Meeting to Order/Adopt Minutes - The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:12 p.m. The Minutes of March 28, 2006 were approved as corrected. Stockbridge Land Trust, South St. - RDA Continuance - Craig Moffatt presented and discussed a letter from the Division of Fisheries & Wildlife which stated that NHESP has determined that this project occurs near but not within the actual resource area habitat of state-listed rare wildlife species. Removal of the berm, stones and debris is considered restorative action. Motion by member Shippey, seconded by member Shatz and voted on unanimously that the Chestnut Tree Planting Project is a non-significant and restorative project and that work may continue as proposed. Timothy Cage, 54 Lake Drive - NOI Continuance - Marc Levasseur from Foresight Engineering outlined the proposed work which will be mostly demolition. A motion by member Shatz and seconded by member DeGiorgis to close the hearing was voted on unanimously. Al & Laurie Richman, 3 Oak St. - NOI Continuance - Sarah Schultz from S&K Design Group, Inc. presented. Natural Heritage says that the dock cannot be constructed, as the Pillsbury Snail may be under the proposed dock location. NHESP, in their letter, states that the applicant must hire a botanist to evaluate this situation. A motion by member Shatz and seconded by member DeGiorgis to continue the hearing was voted on unanimously. Gerald & Carole Goldberg, Brookside Lane, Lot - NOI Continuance - Shannon Boomsma from White Engineering presented. The Bookside Lane private sewer will be discussed at the next meeting with Tony Campetti, Sewer Supt. and Don Schneyer, Chairman of the Water and Sewer Commission. Also to be discussed will be the Dean Olsher sewer connection problem. A motion by member DeGiorgis and seconded by member Shatz to continue the hearing was voted on unanimously.
