TOWN OF STOCKBRIDGE
BOARD OF SELECTMEN
INVITATION TO BID

The Town of Stockbridge hereby requests sealed bids for the generation of digital parcel maps for the entire geographic area of the Town of Stockbridge.  Specifications can be picked up at the Selectmen’s Office, Town Hall,  Stockbridge.  Sealed bids will be publicly opened and read on MONDAY, MARCH 14, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the Selectmen’s Office, Town Hall, Stockbridge.  The Board of Selectmen reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

SPECIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

Digital Parcel Map Specifications:

1.   New aerial photography consistent with the project goal to be taken for base mapping.
a)   all negatives and prints made therefrom are to become the property of the     Town.
	b)   photographic prints will be delivered to the Town after a reasonable time.

2.   Contractor will plot all property boundaries and reconcile difference and conflicts using current and past deeds of all properties or any other records needed to do so.

3.   Upon completion of the mapping, the following documents, files etc. will be delivered:
	a)   All aerial photo products (see 1 above)
      b)   GPS control report
      c)   Planimetric base map digital files 
	d)   Parcel map digital files, including index map and title page files
	e)   Two sets of black line prints, including index map and title page
            f)    Two alphabetical indices, in both hard copy and digital formats
	g)   Two numerical indices, with an index sorted numerically by old map/lot
                   number, in both hard copy and digital formats
h)	One plot of the property line composite map, as well as the GIS processed
      digital file


GENERAL:

The objective for this project is to create, accurate and up-to-date digitized parcel map for the entire geographic area of the Town of Stockbridge which can be used as the basis for a Town-wide Geographic Information System.
